Senior Applied Computer Vision Scientist
This is a hands-on role building real-world CV applications in an intellectually stimulating environment with competitive pay and benefits. The person filling this role will analyze and improve our product through applied research and development in computer vision and machine learning, while working with some of the most talented engineers in the industry. There are opportunities to work across the entire product, from edge cameras and robots to cloud services and custom GPU farms. With your help, we will enable the next generation of vision AI. While we will collaborate with you to shape your role at Groundlight based on your unique skills, you can expect the following responsibilities when working here:
• Research and develop algorithms for computer vision-based problems including scene understanding and anomaly detection
• Develop performance and quality metrics for ML models and systems
• Collaborate with software engineers and product owners on system architecture, design and production code, especially where ML models are used
• Keep up to date with state of the art in ML and CV
• Mentor younger scientists
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in CV, ML, AI, computer science, engineering or related fields, and a PhD or equivalent research experience, with a track record of applied research in computer vision.
